What is included in a Haskell Heating and Air maintenance plan?

Every maintenance plan includes two scheduled visits per year — one before cooling season and one before heating season. Each visit covers measuring operating pressures, checking starting capabilities, inspecting airflow in heating and cooling modes, checking safety controls, inspecting electrical connections and wiring, adjusting blower components, cleaning the condensate drain, checking thermostat calibration, cleaning evaporator coils where accessible, lubricating moving parts, and measuring voltage and amperage. Basic filters (up to 3) are included. Specialty filters and chemical coil cleaning are available at additional cost.

How much does an HVAC maintenance plan cost in the NC High Country?

Accepted Answer

Haskell Heating and Air maintenance plans start at $250 per year for standard heat pump systems, gas furnace with AC systems, and single-zone mini split systems. Dual fuel systems (heat pump with gas furnace) are $300 per year. Gas furnace heating-only plans are $120 per year and include one annual heating season visit. Additional mini split indoor heads are $100 per year each. All prices plus tax.

How often should I have my HVAC serviced in the NC mountains?

Accepted Answer

Twice per year is the standard recommendation, and it is especially important at mountain elevations in Avery and Watauga Counties. The High Country's dramatic temperature swings, high elevation, and long heating seasons put extra demands on HVAC equipment. We schedule a cooling season visit between May and August and a heating season visit between September and December, so your system is inspected and ready before each season begins.

Do I need to be home for my HVAC maintenance visits?

Accepted Answer

No. Many of our maintenance plan customers own vacation homes or rental properties on Beech Mountain and in Banner Elk and live two to three hours away. We schedule both visits in advance, complete the service whether you are present or not, and communicate clearly about everything we find. You will always know the status of your system before each season.

Does a maintenance plan cover HVAC repairs?

Accepted Answer

Maintenance plans cover the cost of scheduled service visits and basic filters. Repair labor and replacement parts needed to correct defects are the responsibility of the customer and are billed separately at the time of service. However, maintenance plan members receive priority scheduling for service calls, meaning you go to the front of the line when a repair is needed.

Yes. A significant portion of our maintenance plan customers are short-term rental operators and vacation property owners throughout the NC High Country, including Beech Mountain, Banner Elk, Linville, and Seven Devils. We offer coordinated scheduling for property managers overseeing multiple homes. A maintained system means fewer emergency breakdowns, fewer negative guest reviews, and lower long-term repair costs.
